Random moments

Whenever I go on a shoot, I try to shoot a little video footage as well. Unfortunately, there never seems to be enough time to capture enough footage - then again my main job is to take photos so missing a great shot because I've been doing some filming instead probably wouldn't go down too well. I've been meaning to put together some kind of video collage for a while now and have finally got round to editing the footage I have shot over the past few years. Unfortunately, I can't post the full clip just yet as some of the photos shown in it are currently embargoed. So here's a little teaser trailer for you - the full video (featuring even more shaky non HD video footage) will be posted here in the next two weeks.

That's how you do it...

Shooting
Ke$ha is easy. You sign a contract, you go to the venue, you head to the mixing desk, Ke$ha comes on stage in near darkness wearing some weird glasses, you up the ISO to get a few useable shots, the lights come on, you take some more shots of Ke$ha with the crowd covering most of her, you go home.

Tear and share

I've had a very busy couple of weeks and shot some pretty high profile stuff in that time - most notably
Björk's production stills for her new show. A full and proper update on that later. In the meantime, here are some new tearsheets.

The quickfire round

Lots has happened since my last update, so let's see how much of it I can actually remember. There was a shoot in Paris at the Stade of France and a two shoots in Manchester to take the offical production stills for
Björk's incredible new show - and as a result of that there was a no-shoot at Glastonbury (no regrets on my part - Paris & Manchester were much more fun!). Then there was a shoot with model Daisy Lowe followed by a live shoot with Arcade Fire and Mumford & Sons in Hyde Park the next day. The week ended in style with two days at Hop Farm in Kent, including an on-stage shoot with Brandon Flowers. I was the only photographer apart from the official festival tog to shoot him on stage and it certainly felt good to be back on stage with the Killers' front man again.
